Get a Google review QR code

A Google review QR code opens your business’s review form on Google when a customer points their phone camera at it. Search your business name in a free tool such as JobWrapped and download the code as a PNG or SVG. Google’s own QR code, under Get more reviews in your Business Profile, can only be made on a computer.

Can’t find it? Paste your Google Maps link into the box. In Google Maps, open your business, tap Share, then Copy link.

How to make a Google review QR code

On your phone or a computer, with this tool

  1. Search your business name and town above, or paste your Google Maps link.
  2. Pick your business.
  3. Download the PNG for printing, or the SVG if a print shop or designer asks for it.

No sign-up, and nothing to install.

On a computer, from your Google Business Profile

  1. Go to your Business Profile, signed in to the Google account that manages it.
  2. Select Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
  3. Right-click the QR code and select Save image as.

Google says its review QR codes can only be made on a computer, not on a phone.

Where to put it

  • Business cards, and a thank-you card you leave at the finished job.
  • Invoices and estimates, printed or PDF.
  • On your phone screen at the final walkthrough, so the homeowner can scan it right there.
  • If you’d rather send it by text or email, use the Google review link instead.

Print it so it scans

  • Scan a test print with your own phone before you order a batch.
  • Keep the white border around the code. Cameras use it to find the edges.
  • Print it dark on light. Black on white is the safest.
  • Give it room. On a business card, make it as big as the layout allows.
  • Put words under it that invite everyone, like “Tell us how we did on Google”. Skip lines like “Loved our work?”, since Google’s rules don’t allow asking only happy customers.

No rewards for scanning

A sign that says “Review us for 10% off” breaks Google’s rules. So does a raffle entry or a free add-on for a review. Google bans offering anything in exchange for a review, so the code should ask and nothing more. Read Google’s review policy.

Questions about Google review QR codes

Can I make a Google review QR code on my phone?

Yes, with this tool. Search your business, then download the code. Google’s own Business Profile tool only makes review QR codes on a computer.

Is it free, and does it expire?

It’s free, with no account. The code points straight at Google’s review form for your business, not at JobWrapped, so it keeps working on its own. Google says place IDs can change if a business moves, so make a new code after a move.

How does a customer scan it?

They open their phone’s camera, point it at the code and tap the link that appears. Google opens your review form, and asks them to sign in first if they aren’t.

Should I download the PNG or the SVG?

The PNG for most things: texting it, a Canva or Word design, or an office printer. The SVG if a print shop or designer asks for a vector file, because it stays sharp at any size.

Can I offer a discount to people who scan it?

No. Google’s rules ban offering anything in exchange for a review, including discounts and free services.

What’s the difference between the QR code and the review link?

They go to the same place. The link is for texts and emails. The QR code is for anything printed, or for showing on your screen when you’re with the customer.

More than a link

JobWrapped also makes a free page for each job you finish: your photos, a thank-you note and the review button, on one link you text to the homeowner.
